Not sure where to start on this post ! here goes !
We have been E-cig resellers for three years now, and in that time we have tried our best to give you our customers the best possible advice on what we do, what we stock, best practices and the pitfalls of using untested products.
Luckily, and I do mean luckily, one of our long standing customers remembered this and it stopped them using a product they sourced while on holiday in Portugal. During their hols they were out for the day and had ran out of e-liquid, not wanting to go back to their accommodation they popped into a local store to buy some – the store owner informed them they could only sell them a two part system where the liquid had a zero nicotine content and then there was a bottle of nicotine to add themselves by adding a few drops to the liquid in their atomiser. Now this is where it could have gone wrong, this info is way too vague, the bottle of nicotine that was supplied was 90mg / 9.0% in strength – which put bluntly is strong enough to give adverse reactions if inhaled, could burn the skin and if ingested could kill ! safety sheets consistently state that the lethal dose for adults is 60 mg or less (30–60 mg).
So this is a reminder to all my lovely customers and anybody who uses an e-cig, if travelling abroad be very careful what you buy – it could prove fatal ! especially as most of us like a drink or three whilst on hols which obviously reduces common sense – our advise would be don’t risk it, take enough supplies with you !
Here are some pics of the bottle of nicotine
