Printers – How do you choose the right one ?<\/h3>\n

Will it be based on the purchase price, the features the printer offers or on the printing costs ?<\/p>\n

Irrespective of the features the machines have and the printing costs realistically most people will always choose the cheapest printer they can find on the shelf at PC World, Tesco’s or some other large retailer, but the problem with doing so is that most people simply won’t take any notice of how much ink the required cartridges hold and how much they cost to buy new ! for example an entry level HP printer will cost around \u00a330 to \u00a335 from most retailers – the cartridges that come with the printer will be of a starter variety ( very low levels of ink ) and the standard cartridges that would then have to be purchased separately would cost around \u00a330 to \u00a340 for the pair and still only hold around 4ml of ink for the black cartridge and 4ml of ink for the Tri-colour ( bear in mind that is divided by 3 so there is only around 1 to 1.5 ml of each colour ) so the cheap printer is suddenly very expensive to actually print anything !<\/p>\n

We always advise our customers to think about a new printer as an investment, buy wisely and you will save money, for example, in our opinion Canon printers that use individual ink cartridges are great, they may cost more to buy but the cartridges that come in the box have in the region of 100% more ink in them compared to the ones that come with the HP entry level printer, and when you compare the XL cartridges for both machines the Canon is even better still.<\/p>\n

It would be ideal for a small business \/ office \/ family with children at school and college etc. or people who have no pc or laptop and want to be able to print from their smart phones \/ tablets.<\/p>\n

Brother J152 W<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Brother\"<\/a> Multi-function ( print, scan, copy ) printer – with wireless connection and the ability to print from and scan to smart phones and tablet devices – the printer is very similar to the Canon MG-5650 possibly only lacking in the photo printing so would be best suited in our opinion to small business \/ office situations.<\/p>\n

Brother HL-1110<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"HL1110_main\"<\/a> Mono laser printer – as it states, it only prints black – great for small offices, business, garages and MOT test stations.<\/p>\n

Brother HL-L2300D<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"HLL2300D_main\"<\/a> Mono laser printer – as with the HL-1110 the L2300D only prints black, but it has larger capacity cartridges meaning it is cheaper to run- it is also able to print Duplex (double sided) – great for small offices and business\u2019s with increased print demands.<\/p>\n

Brother DCP-1610W<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"DCP1610W_main\"<\/a> Multi-function mono laser printer (print, scan, copy) – with wireless connection and the ability to print from mobile devices. – Also only prints black. Great for small offices, businesses.<\/p>\n

OKI C301DN<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Oki\"<\/a> Colour laser printer – which is networkable and is able to print duplex (double sided) – great quality and ideal for small businesses and offices that have a need for colour printing.<\/p>\n
